The selection is based on 20-285 credits



Course Aim
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
  • independently assimilate new material at advanced level
  • plan and carry out investigation or development work
  • integrate and combine previously acquired knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering
  • apply in-depth knowledge in the field in calculations, simulations or design tasks.

Contents
The content of the special studies is specified in dialogue between the examiner and the student based on the student's specific prior knowledge. The work contains elements where the student integrates and combines previously acquired knowledge in order to perform calculations, simulations, or construction tasks within Electrical Engineering. The special studies courses are often given close to ongoing research projects at the Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering.

Realization
Each course occasion´s language and form is stated and appear on the course page on Luleå University of Technology's website.
The student independently plans and conducts an investigation or development work with the examiner as support.

Examination
If there is a decision on special educational support, in accordance with the Guideline Student's rights and obligations at Luleå University of Technology, an adapted or alternative form of examination can be provided.
Examination of the special studies takes place via written report.
