Selection

The selection is based on 1-165 credits.



Course Aim
After the course the student should know:
-The basic acoustic, electro acoustic, physical and psychological parameters that influences the recording and reproduction of sounds.

Contents
The fundamentals of:
-physics and parameters of sound
-the hearing and perception of sound
-the physiology of hearing and hearing damages
-room acoustics
-acoustic design of recording studio and control room
-audio reproduction in stereo and surround
-fundamental concert hall acoustics

Realization
The course content is presented and covered by lectures, demonstrations, problem solving, laboratory experiments and project.

Examination
Written exam. Written reports regarding laboratory experiments. Written and/or oral presentation of the project.
