The selection is based on 1-165 credits.



Course Aim
On completion of the course, the student should have good knowledge of in-depth anatomy and different illnesses which are common in a radiology department, which means that the student should be able to:
  • Describe the body’s topographic anatomy
  • Describe causes of illnesses, pathophysiology, care, treatment and prognosis of common illnesses which radiographers encounter in their vocational practice
  • Explain common illnesses and identify alternative diagnoses in relation to diagnostic medical imaging
  • Explain in which way age can affect health, syndrome, diagnostics and treatment
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand laboratory analyses which radiographers encounter in their vocational practice

  • Laboratory diagnostics

Realization
The course provides students introductory lectures on the various components to attain the course objectives. Teaching is both on campus, through distance learning techniques and recordings. The students also acquire knowledge and practice fulfilment of course objectives through compulsory laboratory work/seminars. During the course students work both individually and in groups to develop their knowledge. Other teaching methods may also be used.

The content of the course components and its teaching methods are specifically tailored for the radiographer profession.
