Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language + Mathematics 2a/2b/2c. Or: Mathematics B

Selection

The selection is based on final school grades or Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test.



Course Aim

After completing the course, the student shall:
- be able to use at least one advanced CAD software to create construction models and documents of good quality
- be able to create reports using word processing software
- be able to create presentations using a slide show presentation program
- be able to conduct calculations using spread sheet software
- be introduced to problem solving using programming


Contents

In this course the following software are used: CAD software (AutoCad Architecture and ArchiCAD or similar), spread sheet software (Excel or similar), word processing software (Word or similar) slide show presentation program (Powerpoint or similar) and programming language (Python or similar).


Realization

The student will individually solve and hand in assignments. Teaching is conducted mainly through guided computer labs but also through a number of lectures.


Examination

Individual assignments. The course is using a score system, 0-100. All assignments need to be handed in and for each assignment at least half of its score need to be reached to be able to get grade 3, 4 or 5 as final grade in the course. A student who have collected 50 scores will get grade 3, 70 (4) and 90 (5).


Remarks

Cannot be part of the same degree together with K0001B, ABK030, ABS126 or S0002B.
