The examiner decides in each case which courses are necessary for the project to be undertaken. At least one advanced course within the subject should be taken prior to the thesis work. More information about English language requirements Course Aim In the thesis work the student shall individually or with one fellow student study a given task and write a report on the results. The work should be a research project or a technical investigation. The student should demonstrate his/her ability to: • Apply the knowledge and skills that have been acquired. • Plan and structure a research investigation • Work according to a time plan • Write a research or investigation report • Analyze and draw conclusions from the obtained results • Design a presentation • Give an oral presentation of the report The student should understand • The need for cooperation in research The student should know and understand: • The different parts of the research and development (R&D) process • How to initiate and create an R&D project • How to implement R&D project resultsContents Course contents are decided in cooperation with student/students at the start of the course.Realization Determined in connection with the planning of the thesisExamination Oral and written presentation of own work Opposing on thesis work of fellow student Participation in two additional thesis work presentations.
