Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and Basic knowedge in manufacturing engineering and technology equivalent to T0019T Manufacturing Methods or equivalent.

Selection

The selection is based on 1-165 credits.



Course Aim
The students taking this course will obtain broad knowledge of machines and equipment used in automated and integrated manufacturing systems. Practical experience of automated systems will be provided through projects in the divisions robot cells and a small case study.

Contents
Automation equipment and technologies. PLC\'s industrial robots and automated transport and storage systems (60%). Machnine tools, jigs and fixtures (20%). Case study (20%)

Realization
Lectures, seminars, case studies and group laboratory exercises. The lab.\'s are compulsory.

Examination
Sucessful completion of the lab.\'s, exercises and project will give a pass grade. The grade can be improved by taking the written exam at the end of the course.
