Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and Knowledge in Operating systems and Computer-system administration (e.g. D0008E and D0026D).

The selection is based on 1-165 credits.

Course Aim
The course covers theoretical and practical knowledge of the principles and methods of operation of cloud services.

Each student should after the course have: 
1.    Basic knowledge of installation and configuration of cloud services
2.    Basic knowledge in management of cloud services
3.    Be familiar with the most common methods for operations of cloud services
It is important for studies conducted at university level that students reflect on their knowledge.

The course covers the following areas:
- Different types of cloud services and cloud platforms
- Installation, configuration and administration of cloud services

Lectures and laboratory work. Laboratory work is carried out in a computer lab both individually and in groups. Mandatory oral presentation and written reports.

Course outcomes are examined as follows:
1.    Written examination
2.    Laboratory work

Lab reports should contain the reflection of the student's knowledge development. Mandatory presentation of advanced assignment at the end of the course.
