Research Chemistry of Interfaces

In Chemistry of Interfaces focus is on both applied and fundamental research.

We use spectroscopy (NMR, IR) and potentiometric titrations to study interactions between surfaces and aqueous solutions and adsorption of surface modifying chemicals.

Research on flotation reagents and iron oxide pellets has been financed by three research centers at LTU: Hjalmar Lundbohm Research Center (HLRC), Agricola Research Center – Multicomponent Mineral Systems (ARC-MMS) and Center of Advanced Mining and Metallurgy (CAMM). Funding has also been attained from Vinnova Strategic Research Programme. Running projects on environmentally friendly and selective flotation reagents are funded by Formas.

Research on environmentally friendly flame retardants are funded by Brandforsk.

Research on tribological additives and Alzheimer peptides has been supported by the Foundation to the Memory of J.C. and Seth M. Kempe and by the Swedish Alzheimer’s Fund.
