My research

My research interest focus user and citizen engagement in the co-creation, implementation and evaluation of digital service innovations that create and added value for people and society (i.e. Living Lab). I am in particular interested in the application area smart cities and regions. Within this area, I am interested in understanding human needs, value and motivation in relation to digital innovations such as Internet of things, city services, and privacy enhancement/awareness services. To gain this understanding, innovative methods, tools and processes are needed, hence I have, together with my colleagues, developed a methodology called FormIT.

I am the managing director of Botnia Living Lab and the Vice president of European Network of Living Lab (ENoLL)

I am also assistant scientific director of one of LTUs strong research and innovation areas "Enabling ICT"
