Sixteenth national conference in Swedish with a didactic focus.
Welcome to the 2024 national conference in Swedish with a didactic focus!
The Department of Health, Education and Technology at Luleå University of Technology, together with the National Network for Swedish didactic studies, invites you to a conference. The conference has a broad approach to didactic studies in Swedish and welcomes contributions concerning all levels of education within the theme The Swedish subject of the future - tradition and renewal.
The Swedish subject is often regarded as a non-paradigmatic construction, where the purpose, content and methods of the subject can differ significantly between different times and between different classrooms during the same period. Not least, the content of the subject has been challenged by new migration flows, a changing media landscape, a changing view of learning resources and a broadening of the view of what language and culture can be, among other things. How we want the Swedish subject in the future and what we take with us from history are key questions. The conference therefore welcomes both presentations that contribute new knowledge and that problematize key issues in the areas:
- The monolingual and multilingual Swedish classroom.
- The digital and analog Swedish subject
- Teaching materials and/or resources
- Swedish teacher training - yesterday, today, tomorrow
- Swedish as a culture-bearing subject
The conference is also open for studies and discussions in other areas of Swedish subject didactics, either as presentations or as a symposium.
Call for papers
Call for papers is announced on 2024-04-01. No later than 2024-06-03, proposals (abstract) for paper presentations and symposium are submitted. Decisions on accepted grants will be announced on 2024-07-01.
Doctoral workshop
As an introduction to the conference, a doctoral workshop will be organized. Doctoral students will have the opportunity to read and discuss each other's texts under the guidance of a senior researcher. More information about this will be provided in connection with the call for papers.
