About me
Agnes Strandberg is associate senior lecturer in Swedish and Education at the Department of Health, Education and Technology at Luleå University of Technology.
Agnes received her PhD in 2023 with her thesis Contextualizing grammar in Swedish L1 education: A design-based research project in upper secondary school External link, opens in new window.The focus of the thesis is grammar teaching in L1 education which is investigated through a design-based research project where a researcher and teachers create, implement, and evaluate contextualized grammar teaching in Swedish upper secondary school. During her years as a PhD student, she was a part of the doctoral school Practice-based educational research (PROFS) at Luleå University of Technology.
In her research, Agnes is still interested in L1 grammar education from different perspectives. Agnes is currently working on analyzing different talk types and characteristics of grammatical and rhetorical reflections in L1 students' collaborative talk about writing. Besides grammar teaching, Agnes's research interests extends to L1 education more generally.
Agnes primarily teaches courses on Swedish language teaching within the teacher-training program as well as L2 perspectives of Swedish.
