About me
Introducing myself
I am an assistant professor of Physiotherapy and work as a teacher and researcher at Luleå University of Technology. Together with Stina Rutberg and a multidisciplinary research group, we conduct research on children's physical activity with a focus on active transport. For more information about our research, see the link below. I teach at the Health Counselor program which gives a bachelor's degree in health promotion. I have been an elite swimmer and still have a great commitment in sports where I have, among other things, been a physiotherapist in the Swedish national swimming team and the Swedish squad for the Olympics in Sydney and Athens.
Presentation of my research
I defended my dissertation in physiotherapy in 2015 with the dissertation "Promoting adolescents' physical activity @ school". The area of children's and young people's physical activity includes interventions which, with the help of empowerment and gamification, are intended to promote physical activity and, in the long run, also affect health and cognitive ability.
