About me
Research
Several space observatories or space probes provide observations of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus or Neptune’s atmospheres. To explain the measurements and determine the atmospheres’ composition, thermodynamics and chemistry, it is often necessary to understand the collision-induced absorption (CIA). The collision complexes are responsible for a significant part of the absorption and cannot be omitted in the explanation of infrared and microwave spectra.
In our project we aim to provide a quantum mechanical description of CIA of H2 – H2 and H2 – He complexes and increase the accuracy of existing models.
