About me
I am a PhD student in Nursing at Luleå University of Technology in the research field Promote Health Throughout Life, where I also teach in the nursing and specialist nursing programmes. I am a registered nurse with specialist training in care of older people, and additional studies in public health.
My professional background is primarily in municipal healthcare, with a focus on the care of older people. I also have experience in mentoring nurses and in supporting and assessing nursing students during clinical placements.
I grew up here in northern Sweden, where a close connection to nature has been part of my life and my family’s lives for generations.
My PhD project explores the significance and meaning of nature, as well as opportunities for nature contact, among older people living in nursing homes.
