About me
Hendrik Rujner´s started as PhD student in the Urban Water Research Group in 2013. His main scientific interests are urban hydrology and stormwater management with Green Infrastructure. During his PhD studies he investigated the hydrological functions and processes that influence the performance of Green infrastructure elements such as grass swales by various measurements, field experiments and model simulation.
His educational background is Landuse and Water management in which Hendrik received the Msc (Dipl-.Ing.) from the Brandenburg University of Technology, Germany. His thesis and following research focussed on the altering urban water balance due to climate change and urbanisation in the case of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which inspired him to pursue with a PhD at the Urban Water research group.
Currently Hendrik works as a research assistant where he investigates the seasonal variations between conventional stormwater drainage and alternative, green stormwater control measures in the case of small scale catchments of commercial area parking lots.
