About Me
I am an Associate Professor in Process Metallurgy at Luleå University of Technology, driven by a strong interest in developing sustainable and fossil-free metallurgical processes. My research focuses on hydrogen-based ironmaking, circular use of resources, and recycling of secondary materials such as lithium-ion batteries and industrial residues.
I work closely with industry partners, aiming to bridge fundamental science with real industrial challenges. I enjoy building collaborative research environments and supervising students, helping them grow into independent researchers and engineers.
My research vision is to enable a fully circular and climate-neutral metallurgical industry by integrating hydrogen-based processes, advanced process modeling, and efficient resource utilization. I aim to contribute to the transformation of the pyrometallurgical processes toward net-zero emissions while maximizing the value of both primary and secondary raw materials.
