About Me
The academic journey of Dr. Hui HAN includes obtaining a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, and subsequent postdoctoral research positions at the Data Science department of Fraunhofer IESE, Germany. Later, she serves as a postdoctoral fellow for the department of Computer Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. Currently, Dr. Han works as a WASP Senior Lecturer at Luleå University of Technology (LTU) in Sweden.
Her research focus is data science (specifically on Edge AI and TinyML (Tiny Machine Learning). She also heads research efforts in developing sustainable modeling for Sustainable Supply Chain Management (specifically reverse logistics and circular economy), and offers expertise in the areas of social commerce and Industry 4.0.
As the first author, Dr. Han has published a total of 18 papers, including 11 journal papers, 4 conference papers, and 3 magazine papers. These publications have garnered significant recognition within the academic community, accumulating 1000 citations to date (Google Scholar). Her research contributions have been featured in esteemed journals such as Technological Forecasting & Social Change (IF 13.3), Expert Systems with Applications (IF 8.5), Cleaner Logistics and Supply Chain (IF 6.8), Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (IF 6), Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research (IF 5.6), as well as Education and Information Technologies (IF 5.5), etc. Her teaching includes Management Information Systems, Project in Industrial AI, and TinyML (The TinyML Course is available on Dr. Han’s YouTube channel).
