About me
Oleksandr’s research focuses on illicit wastewater discharges into stormwater sewers and the methods for detection of such pollutions in the system. During his PhD studies, Oleksandr evaluates the methods that are used or have potential to be used for the detection and location of inputs of wastewater pollution being discharged into stormwater sewer. He has performed a number of experimental studies in the field to evaluate the effectiveness of selected number of commonly used indicator parameters and the factors affecting performance of these indicators. Oleksandr has also performed field and full-scale studies in order to develop the methods for the estimation of the volume of untreated wastewater discharges into the receiving waters. As the continuation of his PhD studies, Oleksandr has recently started to work with the infiltration and inflow (I/I) into wastewater sewers with the focus on the different strategies that could be used for localization and quantification of I/I.
