About me
About Me
I am Rajkumar Saini, Senior Lecturer and researcher in EISLAB Machine Learning at Luleå University of Technology (LTU), Sweden.
My research spans applied machine learning and intelligent systems, with a current focus on developing methods that work reliably in real-world settings—where data, users, and operational constraints matter.
Research focus
- Computer Vision & Machine Learning (CVML)
- Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCI) and physiological signal-driven interaction
- Compute Continuum (CC) across edge-cloud-HPC
- Intelligent systems and data-driven decision support
- Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) and human-centered AI
Background
I completed my PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). IIT Roorkee is one of India’s oldest engineering institutions (established in 1847) and is internationally ranked; for example, it is ranked #339 in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
Current direction: dependable AI for operations and shared compute platforms
I study how operational data and structured engineering practices can be combined with machine learning to improve the dependability of shared computing infrastructure. Topics include standardized data/telemetry pipelines and reproducible operational procedures.
