About me
Tone Merete Muthanna is an associate professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), specializing in stormwater management and adaptation to climate change for the built environment. She has worked extensively with performance of green infrastructure in a changing climate in several recent and ongoing national and international (www.klima2050.no External link.;www.projectBingo.eu External link. ). In the large scale national center for research based innovations, Klima2050 the overarching goal is risk reduction though climate adaptation for built infrastructure. While the EU H2020 project, BINGO focused on adaptation to climate change for ongoing water management with a special focus on the urban water system and how we can use climate date for future performance projects in the sector. Earlier research on performance of bioretention facilities in cold climates lead to national climate specific design recommendations. Research interests include water quality in urban stormwater, urban stream hydrology, climate change modelling, sustainable stormwater management and urban flood risk management.
