Food and drink on university premises
Consumption of food is permitted in areas intended for heating food, such as

keep food warm. Exceptions to this apply to the university area in Kiruna.
Drinks, fruit and coffee are allowed in classrooms and lecture halls during longer stays, e.g. during exams. It is important that the waste sorting bins, which are located outside classrooms and lecture halls, are used to avoid odours and vermin.
It is not allowed to bring your own equipment, such as coffee makers or kettles, into
the university premises. These appliances will be confiscated and subsequently returned against description to the responsible department at professional services at LTU. The ban does not apply to the temporary use of e.g. coffee makers for temporary serving to members of a student association. The coffee maker must always be checked before use and must be taken care of and removed from the university.
Furniture and equipment
Furniture and equipment must not be placed in such a way that they block escape routes or fire hydrants/hand-held fire extinguishers. Only furniture and fixtures purchased and approved by the University are permitted on University premises.
The University's furniture and equipment must be treated with great care and respect in order to ensure that they last and are used for many years. In the unlikely event that furniture and equipment has to be moved, it should be returned to its original location afterwards. The cost of restoring furniture and equipment to its original location will be charged to the party responsible for the restoration.
