Socio-economical importance of maintenance of hydropower, environmental issues and sustainability. Reliability and maintainability of hydro power system. Total Productivity Maintenance (TPM). Life Cycle Costing (LCC). Risk Analysis in hydropower. Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) & Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA). Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Condition based Maintenance (CBM) for hydropower. Inspection routines. Outsourcing and Partnering. Bench Marking and Performance measurement. Case study, assignments/Discussion.
