Entry requirements

The course E7014E Electronics II or equivalent. This means that the student must be able to calculate bias voltages and perform small signal analysis on circuits built from BJT and MOS transistors. The student must also be able to analyze the frequency dependence of active circuits and their properties in when used with feedback. The student needs to know how to use some circuit simulation tool. Alternative: An alternative to completed course can be corresponding knowledge acquired through work within the electronics sector.

Course Aim
The student should know the basics of electronic design and have a good ability in using computers in electronic design.

- SPICE-syntax
- Hierarchical design
- Analog design
- Introductiont to noise
- Prototype building and verification of the design

Most of the course time is devoted to the design project. The project is treated in a few lectures. The design project is done by 2-3 cooperating students. A prototype is built and tested.

Approved lab asignments and approved written report on the design project.
