Master Programme in Green Networking and Cloud Computing

120 Credits, Programme, master's level
The Erasmus Mundus master program in Green Networking and Cloud Computing (GENIAL) aims at combining advanced Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) with environmental awareness.

The master program covers four semesters where the students move as a single cohort. The first semester is located at University of Lorraine (France) and focuses on computer networks and sustainable development. The second semester takes place at Leeds Beckett University (UK) and addresses software, green IT, data science, and smart systems, while the third semester located at Luleå University of Technology (Skellefteå, Sweden) targets resource efficient distributed systems. The last semester is dedicated to a thesis component.

The program provides a broad technical expertise in pervasive computing and communications for sustainable development. You can continue your studies towards PhD level, work as a key figure in small innovative companies, or take on a career within any of the major industrial companies' research and development departments.

Entry requirements

Academic degree of at least 180 higher education credits in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or a closely related area. A minimum of 22.5 credits in mathematics at university level is required.

Good knowledge in English, equvilent to English 6
