Ali Beryani

About me

Ali Beryani’s research field is Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS). He focuses on Stormwater Control Measures (SCM) and works with bioretention (or biofilter) systems for stormwater treatment.

Ali carries out a number of field studies on already established bioretention facilities in Sweden monitoring pollutants removal of a wide range of contaminants such as organic pollutants, nutrients and suspended solids. In a further step, he will develop the facilities’ performance with regard to climate adaptation and contaminants removal.

Ali holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and Water Resources (M.Sc.) from University of Tehran, Iran and studied Civil Engineering (B.Sc.) at Khaje Nasir Toosi University, Tehran, Iran. For his master thesis, he surveyed the application and risk of nanoparticles in soil and water treatment.
