About me
General
My research area is energy systems analysis with special emphasis on applications concerning bioenergy, fossil-free hydrogen, and efficient integration of biorefinery pathways in existing industrial infrastructures.
Besides being a Professor in Energy Engineering at the Division of Energy Science at Luleå University of Technology, I am also a Guest Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm as well as Guest Senior Research Scholar at Agriculture, Forestry, and Ecosystem Services Research Group at Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria.
I am currently the Deputy Director of the competence center CH2ESS (Center for Hydrogen Energy Systems Sweden), a research and knowledge initiative at Luleå University of Technology with a focus on fossil-free hydrogen production and use in industrial processes and energy systems. I am also since 2019, the representative of Sweden in IEA Bioenergy, Task 33, Thermal gasification of biomass and waste, leading the sub-task on gasification-based hydrogen production.
