How do I apply?
The announcement of exchange places is handled by the International Office, which is also responsible for the selection process. The International Office only makes a selection of the applicants for agreement study places and recommends and nominates the person as an exchange student to the receiving university.
- Online application directly to LTU (see below for current deadlines).
- For students who are eligible for exchange studies, a selection process is then initiated based on eligibility requirements, number of applicants, any competition at the chosen university, etc.
- If the student is eligible, and a place is available at a university selected in the application, the student is nominated for exchange studies to one of the partner universities.
- The student and the International Coordinator for the selected exchange studies have a meeting about future exchange studies. The host university contacts the student directly with information about their application process. The student then applies directly to the host university.
Admission decisions are made by the partner university. The decision cannot be appealed.
Contact the International Office for information about the universities that have remaining places in spring 2024.
The application database contains places that are no longer available in spring 2024.
To be able to make an application, you must first log in to our application portal, MoveON, with CAS login (same as to My LTU).
In the application you will be asked to fill in the following information;
- Personal data: name, date of birth, address, family information.
- Information about current studies at LTU: program, degree, subject area.
- Desired exchange study place: it is possible to indicate three options in order of priority.
- Language skills.
- Bank details: Erasmus and Nordplus applications only.
To be nominated for study abroad, the course proposal for the three ranked application options must be completed and well thought out.
The application deadline refers to your complete application. Do not wait until the last moment to make your application.
Please note that for overseas exchanges you can only apply for one type of mobility, bilateral and UK, ISEP, North2North, per call. Thus, you cannot apply in the same application for ISEP first, bilateral second and North2North third. Within Europe, however, you can apply for Erasmus (not the UK), Nordplus/Nordlys/Nordtek in the same application round.
You can also first apply, for example, bilaterally to the application round in December and if you have received a negative decision on applying, for example, Erasmus to the application round in February.
NOTE! You cannot apply for the February call if you have applied for the December call and have accepted the place.
The application portal will open one month before the deadline at the latest.
If you have any questions or encounter problems during the application process, please contact the International Office.
If you have been nominated to participate in exchange studies, you will be notified via your LTU e-mail.
