Luleå University of Technology in Piteå

At the School of Music in Piteå at Luleå University of Technology, we educate musicians in diverse genres of music and audio technology.

The School of Music was founded in 1978 as a further development of the music programs at Framnäs folk high school, and has always been a part of Luleå University of Technology, Piteå campus. Other highlights of the university campus in Piteå include one of Northern Europe’s most modern concert halls Studio Acusticum, which is located in the same building as the music facilities.


In Piteå there are two student housing areas within a 10-15 minute walk from the campus. Ankarskatavägen road, is also called "Ankars", is managed by housing agency Pitebo.
