Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and Passing audition. At the audition the candidate´s musicality, technique, interpretation, creative process, and music theory skills are evaluated.

Church Music In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language, equivalent to English 6, and passed audition. The audition includes organ/piano playing, conducting, and singing components as well as a music theory exam. At the audition the candidate´s musicality, technique, interpretation, creative process, and music theory skills are evaluated.
Classical Musician In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and have documented skills in English language, equivalent to English 6, and passed audition. The audition includes both a playing/singing component on the applicant´s primary instrument/voice as well as a music theory exam. At the audition the candidate´s musicality, technique, interpretation, creative process, and music theory skills are evaluated.
Composition In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language, equivalent to English 6, and passed audition. The audition takes place in two rounds. Applicants who pass the first round advance to the second round. Part 1: Composition samples (scores and recordings) Part 2: Music theory exam, score listening test, epoch/genre test, arranging/instrumentation. At the audition the candidate´s musicality, technique, interpretation, creative process, and music theory skills are evaluated.
Jazz Musician In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and passed audition. Information regarding audition only available in swedish. At the audition the candidate´s musicality, technique, interpretation, creative process, and music theory skills are evaluated.
Music Production and Songwriting In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and passed audition. Information regarding audition only available in swedish. At the audition the candidate´s musicality, technique, interpretation, creative process, and music theory skills are evaluated.

Selection

The selection procedure is based on application tests. Applicants are placed in different selection groups depending on instrument.
