Master Programme in Music Performance
Description
The program comprises two years of full-time study and is taught in English, individual instruction is in English and Swedish.
During the second academic year an artistic thesis is presented in both musical and written form. As part of the seminars, ongoing thesis works will also be presented in words and music.
Those parts of the education that are common to all specializations, are concentrated to approximately 9 weeks during the academic year, called master weeks, where teachers in the program as well as guest lecturers participate, and in which all students actively take part.
The teaching during these weeks is partly divided between first-year and second-year students, partly common to all. The common seminars deal with issues related to musical creation and interpretation.
We offer a fine academic environment, excellent practicing opportunities, extremely up to date equipment for recording and a exceptional concert hall , Studio Acusticum.
At the department and campus Piteå we educate, besides Musicians, also Music Teachers, Dance Teachers, Audio Engineers, TV Producers, Radio Producers, Event Producers and Journalist.
