There are many different ways to donate to Luleå University of Technology. Here are the most common examples – but we will of course customise a solution that suits you.

Wills – making a mark on the future

Making an impact on the future is an interesting aspect to consider when drawing up your will. Funds bequeathed to the University over the years have been invaluable for research and creative endeavours. Through your will, you can make a mark on the future, either by supporting the Jubilee Fund or in other ways. To ensure that your will is executed as desired, it is best to consult a lawyer.

Tax-exempt share dividends

By donating stock dividends to the Jubilee Fund or another recipient, you increase the value of your gift. Normally, the tax on share dividends is 30 percent. This means that by donating your stock dividend directly, you increase the value of your gift by a corresponding percentage. The possibility of donating share dividends applies both to those who own shares in a listed company and to you as a partner in a small company.

Important to consider:

• That you have registered your wish for future dividends in good time before the general meeting, when the company decides on future dividends.
• Draw up a deed of gift as proof that the transaction will take place. We are happy to help you with a template that you then submit to your bank or asset manager. A copy will be sent to Luleå University of Technology.
• After your donation has been registered, both you and Luleå University of Technology will receive a confirmation from the bank. Save this document for your tax return.

The Jubilee Fund will enable projects that address major societal challenges in innovative ways. Initiatives that may be difficult to place in traditional financing but that have a strength in the utilisation of the University's breadth of knowledge and culture of collaboration between subjects and countries, and with business and society. Foundation – a long-term enabler

Luleå University of Technology manages several foundations that support the University's various areas of activity. If you plan to support our University in the long term, you can either choose to support the Jubilee Fund or one of our existing foundations.
