RISE
The agreement with RISE was signed in 2019 to jointly identify future areas of collaboration and develop goals, strategies and concrete action plans with joint activities.
The purpose of the collaboration
- to increase the joint competitiveness and attractiveness of Luleå University of Technology and RISE.
Decided activities should lead to increased quality in skills development and lifelong learning, in research and innovation, which in turn leads to sustainable growth and strengthened competitiveness for both parties and, by extension, the business community and society we work for.
Within decided areas of collaboration, a dialogue will also be conducted on the joint use of research infrastructure and innovation systems to create the best possible synergy effects.
Focus areas for the partnership
Skills supply
- new knowledge and skills supply and where we together are better able to meet the long-term challenges facing society.
Skills development
- development of new forms of training and learning and the possibility of employee mobility between the partners and active participation in various learning moments.
- organise joint training initiatives in skills development for employees and organise courses for postgraduate students.
- Students at Luleå University of Technology should be able to participate in RISE's activities and carry out degree projects in collaboration with RISE.
Research and innovation collaboration
- technical and social science research and innovation.
- conduct joint research projects together with other stakeholders
- the establishment of the concept of institute doctorate
Research infrastructure
- the possibility of using each party's infrastructure against payment
Collaboration shall also include strategic collaborative projects at management level and the implementation of projects related to specific branches of activity, where this takes place in a sustainability, equality and gender perspective to take advantage of the full potential of the people working in the parties' organizations.
