Guidance for research projects
What are research projects?
Each research project is unique. They constitute a distinct research environment and are run according to a predetermined project plan with clear objectives and deliverables. Research projects often run for several years. Either with one or more funders as a basis or through commissioned research. In commissioned research, the paying party bears both the costs and the research approach.
What is required of me as a sponsor of a research project?
Participating in research projects is an effective way to access the cutting edge of knowledge in a relevant subject area. Both to develop your own knowledge base and to gain access to new results. The projects can involve industrial companies, municipalities and county councils as well as other universities and colleges. Your company can either participate actively in the research and development work or contribute with problems and requirement specifications. Since all research projects are unique, it is not possible to say in advance what is required. Exactly what is required is worked out in the project plan.
How does the collaboration with the university supervisor take place?
The project plan determines all conditions.
Presentation of research projects
Each research project is unique and establishes a communication plan where presentations and other communication are planned.
Confidentiality and agreements
Each research project is unique. Agreements are drawn up with each party. In commissioned research, the results of the research are the property of the client.
