During the course, you will study literature from the Renaissance to the late 20th century and linguistics with an emphasis on the relationship between language and cognition. Additionally, the course offers an introduction to the history of the English language. A societal perspective is integrated into the course, where English literature and the English language is analyzed in relation to societal aspects. Moreover, the course offers an opportunity to develop your academic writing skills in English.
