The course provides in-depth knowledge of how to design various steel structures for ultimate and service loads.

The aim of the course is to be able to use both elastic and plastic theory in current standards to design steel structures. To address different types of stability problems in the design process and to design effective welded and bolted connections, taking force transfer and material properties into consideration.
