Application Instructions for International Students

This page contains important information regarding your application. Please read the entire page and familiarize yourself with the instructions specific to your country of study.
Your application may be disqualified if you fail to correctly submit your application and supporting documentation.
Important dates
You must first submit an application to Universityadmissions.se External link.
Deadline for submitting your application, and for ranking your programs in order of priority, is January 15th, 2025.
Audition
Deadline for submitting your audition is March 9, 2025. See individual specializations for more instructions.
Application and tuition fees
Deadline for receipt of application fee or documented proof that you are not required to pay the fee is February 3rd, 2025.
Deadline for receipt of supporting documentation: February 3rd, 2025.
Submitting your application
Submit your application to the two-year master program External link. and/or the one-year master program External link. at universityadmissions.se. The deadline for submitting your application is January 15th, 2025. If you are applying to more than one program, you must also rank these programs in order of priority within your application by January 15th, 2025.
Entry requirements
- Bachelors degree of minimum 180 ECTS in the area of music
- Good knowledge in English, equivalent to English B/6
- Approved audition
If you are in your final year of studies for a bachelor’s degree, you must submit special documentation in your application to universityadmissions.se. Documenting your eligibility for studies
After submitting your application on universityadmissions.se, you must then submit documentation to demonstrate your eligibility for the programme.

Application and tuition fees
Students with citizenship in countries within the EU/EEA or Switzerland are required to provide proof of citizenship in order for their application to be processed. Documenting your citizenship External link..
First tuition fee instalment: 119,000 SEK*
Total tuition fee one-year Master program: 238,000 SEK
Total tuition fee two-year Master program: 476,000 SEK*
*EU/EEA Citizens are not required to pay fees. See if you are exempt here External link.
Application fee: 900 SEK, payable to universityadmissions.se no later than February 3rd, 2025.
Your application will not be processed and you will not be permitted to audition until you have either confirmed your citizenship or paid the application fee.
Your application will be denied if you cannot prove your eligibility for the program you have applied for. Instructions for your application are found here External link..
Checklist of application documents for proving eligibility:
- A scan of your passport
- Your bachelor diploma in its original language
- Your bachelor diploma translated to English or Swedish unless already issued in English/Swedish/Norwegian/Danish/French/German.
- The transcripts of records of your bachelor’s degree in its original language. This must be a list of all the courses, credits and grades that made up your bachelor’s degree.
- Your transcripts of records translated to English or Swedish unless already issued in English/Swedish/Norwegian/Danish.
- Payment of your application fee or proof of exemption from fee-payment
- Proof of English-language competency External link.
Other requirements when proving eligibility:
- You must supply proof of your bachelor's degree. Master's degree diplomas are NOT accepted as proof of a bachelor's degree.
- All documents must be scanned in colour and each page must be signed/stamped by the issuing university.
- All translations must be done by a recognised translator, i.e. a person who works professionally as a translator. The document must be stamped and signed by the translator and universityadmissions.se must be able to read the name of the translator on the document.
There may be different requirements between different countries so please read instructions carefully for the country where you received your Bachelor's degree. External link. - If your degree was awarded in Bangladesh, Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Nigeria, or the USA, your official transcript must be sent directly from your university.
- If your degree was awarded in Italy: if you have completed academic qualifications from a conservatory and received a Diploma di Conservatorio, you need to submit your diploma and transcripts both in the original language and in translation, along with your diploma from upper secondary school, Esame di stato/Maturita. Accepted languages for translations are Swedish or English.
