The UNIVERSEH team at Luleå University of Technology invites you to apply for this student conference, which will be held from 27 to 28 February at our Campus in Luleå.

About the event
Get together with 50 students of the UNIVERSEH alliance to learn about how a sustainable development can be addressed in different scales. From supporting health, equality, culture and skill in our daily life on Earth, protecting the environment and helping to tackle climate change and managing natural resources, and access to outer space in a sustainable way.
Enrich your interdisciplinary and intercultural skillset and be part of creating an innovative approach to the subject of space in the multiple domains you students are representing.

Travel information
How to get from the airport to Clarion Hotel
Luleå airport is located approximately 8 kilometers from Luleå city. There are buses from the airport to the city centre, bus number 4 and 104 will take you to Smedjegatan, which is the city centre. On the buses, you cannot buy tickets in cash, but you can easily pay with a bus card or credit or debit card.
How to get to LTU
From the bus stop Smedjegatan, take bus 4, 5 or 6 to the university. Get off at Porsö centrum.
Money
The use of cash in Sweden is mostly limited to making small payments. In shops and cafés, it is common to find the sign ‘Card only’ or ‘Cash free’. If you travel by bus or taxi, you can pay by credit card.
Insurance
EU/EEA citizens and citizens from certain countries, which have a mutual health insurance agreement with Sweden, do have the right to the same medical benefits, even though they are non residents in Sweden. If you come from an EU/EEA country you are entitled to use the public medical services on the same basis as Swedish citizens for medical care that is of immediate necessity. In order to be eligible you must be registered at a social insurance office in your home country and have the European health insurance card (EU-card).
If you are not entitled to an EU-card, please arrange with a private medical insurance.
Weather in Luleå
The average temperature in Luleå in February is -10°C.
Remember to bring warm shoes, gloves, and something to cover your head. If you have ski trousers or snow pants, we recommend you to bring them. Think layer by layer when dressing, it will keep you warm. It could be wise to bring some indoor shoes that you can use during our indoor activities.
