We hereby would like to invite you to participate in the Nordic Symposium on Rotordynamics which will be held at Vattenfall Research Center in Älvkarleby, Sweden 21st August.

The Nordic region today has several researchers and companies that work with rotating machines. However, we have lacked a forum to meet and discuss how we can develop the area. This Nordic initiative is an opportunity to meet and present the universities research and industry's issues to find future research problems in the area.

One interesting question is the green transition of the future. Since approximately 99% of all energy is produced with rotating machines this will probably need extensive development. Competence will be required at all levels, from client to manufacturer, but it is unclear what research and development will require to support the industrial development.
