Student collaboration
Norrlandsnavet works to ensure that students interact with companies in northern Sweden through, for example, degree projects, summer internships or participating in project courses with real assignments from companies.
Norrlandsnavet is funded by the Kamprad family foundation and its purpose is to support, stimulate and reward education and scientific research in such a way as to promote entrepreneurship, the environment, skills, health and social development.
The Foundation's contribution to Luleå University of Technology is to be used exclusively for education and scientific research with the aim of promoting the development of business activities in Norrland - thus scholarships can be awarded for students' summer internships in companies.

Get help from a student this summer
For nine weeks, a student from Luleå University of Technology can work on solving a challenge or developing an innovation that makes your company better. The project is funded by Norrlandsnavet via the Kamprad Family Foundation, which means that it is free of charge for the company. The offer applies to small and medium-sized enterprises in northern Sweden (up to 250 employees).
The internship is carried out during the period from week 24 to week 35, 2025, with two weeks off (to be taken as agreed).
There is now an opportunity for companies to apply to host a student in the summer of 2025. The offer is open until January 15, 2025.
Students from all Luleå University of Technology's educational areas can apply for this internship, when you as an entrepreneur register, you indicate which educational areas are most interesting to you.

- Potential future employee
- The content is adapted to the company's wishes and the description of the assignment given in the expression of interest, after dialog with the responsible project manager

How does it work?
- After submitting the expression of interest, the company is contacted by the responsible project manager to ensure that relevant education is available at the university, which corresponds to the company's mission description

- The company gets access to the application portal and can read the applications received. After the application deadline, the responsible project manager contacts the company and jointly looks through the applications and selects the most suitable students who are invited to interviews
- The company and the responsible project manager jointly select the most suitable student for the assignment
