Maintenance engineering involves planning and performing activities to preserve functionality and prevent failures for technical systems throughout their lifecycle by implementing effective maintenance programs.

Every engineered product degrades with age and usage, and failures can occur. When they do, the consequences can be severe, impacting safety, the environment, operations, or the economy. This course provides you with the knowledge to identify maintenance requirements for equipment, perform reliability analyses, assess risks, and apply these concepts in industrial settings. You will also learn about maintenance strategies, including Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).

The course combines classroom lectures, group discussions and assignments and will be assessed based on a final written exam and the assignment completed during the course.
