The course provides in-depth knowledge on the geology and metallogeny of Arctic Fennoscandia, Greenland, Siberia/Kola and North America

The goal of the course is to provide in-depth knowledge on the geological framework for mineralization in arctic regions. Through lectures and seminars, the course covers the main geological models for the regional tectonic evolution of the Fennoscandian Shield, and other Arctic regions in Greenland, Siberia/Kola and North America. Subsequently, the formation and characteristics of mineral deposits are discussed in the light of the geological framework.
