  Make a case to the IT department.
• Report personal data incidents
  Report the incident to dataskydd@ltu.se or call the Data Privacy Officer.

If you are an employee, also remember to contact your nearest manager if necessary.

Definitions

Information security is about all information management, both digital and physical. The common denominator is that information security can be threatened by e.g. unauthorized access to information, illegal handling of information, inaccuracies in information, unauthorized alteration of information, lack of access to information when needed.

Information security incident may include an IT security incident and / or a personal data incident.

• Personal data incident is a security incident that leads to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access to personal data that has been transmitted, stored, or otherwise processed.
  
• IT security incident is an unwanted and unplanned IT-related event that can affect the security of the organization's or community's information management (linked to IT support) and that can disrupt the organization's ability to conduct its business.

Examples

Data breach, hacked account, stolen or lost information or digital device, misdirected personal data, unauthorized person has gained access to information or insufficient security level when sending emails.
