Evaluating proactive internet-based intervention facilitating active life in chronic diseases
The research project aims to develop and evaluate the internet-based intervention program ”Strategies for Empowering activities in Everyday life” (SEE) in Primary Health Care early in the care process. The project will focus on the feasibility, benefit and implementation of the intervention program based on operational, staff and patient perspectives.
Many people with a chronic illness experience difficulties in being able to continue to have an active everyday life that promotes health under their new conditions. Proactive interventions are therefore a priority, but at the same time the availability of such interventions is insufficient and unevenly distributed across the country. The right type of intervention is not always offered at the right time for each person.
Care that lacks accessibility, precision and proactivity contributes over time to activity restrictions, deteriorating health and increased need for health care, that could have been avoided with timely interventions. There is need for development of Internet-based interventions that creates new opportunities to improve the content, accessibility, and effects of proactive interventions.
