Scientific leaders
- Anna-Karin Lindqvist, Associate Professor in Physiotherapy and Health Promotion.
Professor of Physiotherapy who has for many years conducted research on physical activity, digital solutions, and how environments can promote health. She is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and wants to bring together technology, health sciences, and social sciences to create solutions that make a difference in everyday life. As the scientific leader of PRECISE, she is responsible for driving development forward and building a research environment with a strong international profile. Her goal is for precision health to become a natural tool for an equitable and sustainable society.
- Maria Larsson-Lund, Professor of Occupational Therapy.
Professor of Occupational Therapy with a focus on promoting people’s opportunities for an active daily life, participation, and health through research on how everyday activities can be supported by new approaches and innovations, including internet-based treatment programs and digital solutions. She has extensive experience in leading research projects centered on people’s needs, often in close collaboration with the public sector and civil society. Within PRECISE, she contributes her expertise on the interaction between individuals and society and how innovations can be put into practice. Her driving force is that research should not only generate new knowledge but also genuinely improve people’s everyday lives.
- Kevin Lau, Senior Lecturer in Architecture
Associate Professor in Architecture with a focus on sustainable built environments and their importance for health and well-being. His research spans issues of urban planning, housing, and work environments, with a particular interest in how spaces can be designed to promote health.
Within PRECISE, he leads the Healthy Spaces focus area, bringing together spatial and environmental perspectives to co-create evidence-based interventions – from the neighbourhood to the city, community, and society.
He aims to contribute to societies where good health is not a matter of chance – but embedded in the environments we live in.
Directors Graduate School
- Anneli Nyman, Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy.
Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy whose research focuses on promoting healthy aging, including through the development of new health-promoting web-based interventions. For many years, she has been committed to strengthening the conditions for people to experience a meaningful everyday life and social participation, even in the face of illness or disability. As the leader of PRECISE’s graduate school, she aims to build an attractive and interdisciplinary educational environment for doctoral students from various disciplines. She sees the graduate school as the driving force of the initiative – a place where young researchers have the opportunity to shape the future of precision health.
