Collaborate with us on Centre for Space Technology

The Center for Space Technology offers one entrance to Luleå University of Technology's research and education related to the space area, as well as our network in the space industry. We are a meeting place for academia, industry and students.

We work for joint research projects and project applications and monitor relevant calls. We initiate and support postdoctoral and doctoral projects, degree projects and other project-related courses.

The Center for Space Technology is a relevant player in the space sector, both regionally and nationally. You find us at Space Campus in Kiruna where we share location with the Swedish Institute of Space Physics and EISCAT Scientific Association.

We know space

At Luleå University of Technology, we have two strong and well-established research subjects in space, Atmospheric Science and Onboard Space Systems At the university, there are also several research groups whose subjects clearly touch the subject area of space; such as Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Industrial Design, Operation and Maintenance, Automatic Control, Robotics and AI, Engineering Materials and Pervasive and Mobile Computing.

At Luleå University of Technology, there are also several educational programmes in space science, including Sweden's only 5-year programme in Space Engineering, and two master programmes in the field of space, and an interdisciplinary Graduate School of Space Technology.
