Arctic Center of Energy (ACE)
ACE is a global competence center that accelerates the electrification of society – ensuring it is carried out with purpose to make it resilient. Through research and education, ACE builds the knowledge and skills needed to succeed with the shift. The focus is on sparking innovation, fostering collaboration, and developing leadership.
Key ambitions:
- Establish northern Sweden as a global leader in innovative methods, solutions, and technologies for sustainable energy and electrification. Develop a globally unique test environment for electrification in cold climates.
- Equip society with the knowledge, skills, and competence to drive the transition – from sustainable transport and industry to connected, energy-smart cities. This includes ACE’s three program areas: eMobility, Circular Industries, and Connected Cities.
- Develop, test, and validate new educational models and platforms for teaching at all post-secondary levels, ensuring learning is grounded in real-world innovation and research, and supporting society’s electrification.
