Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering

We conduct world leading research and education with a strong experimental and applied profile.

At our department, you can study Master programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Applied AI, Space Engineering and Physics and Electrical Engineering. We also have programmes in Computer Engineering, Systems Sciences and Digital Service Innovation. In addition, we have several international master programmes, for example within the realm of Space and Information Security.

Vattenfall's Prize for best doctoral dissertation 2021

Sina Sharif Mansouri, Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering, has been awarded the 2020 Prize for the best Doctoral dissertation at Luleå University of Technology by Vattenfall.

Research projects on prestigious list

Luleå University of Technology has four research projects at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering' (IVA) 100 list 2022. This year's focus is technology in the service of humanity. The selected research projects are all considered to have significant potential to benefit through commercialization, business and method development or societal impact.

A special VIP evening for students at Luleå University of Technology about the green transition attracted great interest and commitment. 150 students had come to meet several of Luleå University of Technology's researchers and PhD students and the leading-edge companies in the industrial green transition in Sweden.
