LTU License AB provides a repository of intellectual property and is an affiliated company to LTU Holding AB.

The company's mission

By LTU Licens AB (License), LTU Business AB (Business) gives employees, researchers and students (idea owners) an opportunity to commercialize their results and ideas without having to start their own company.

Idea owners that do not want to commercialize their results on their own are offered to transfer their results to License in return for financial compensation. This opportunity is offered during the discussions with the business developers working at Business.

Guidelines

License shall manage business information and intellectual property rights in a manner that minimizes the risk of theft or intrusion and protect information at the discussions and dealings with third parties.

License shall together with other actors, develop, optimize working methods and processes within the commercialization system of Luleå University of Technology.
