Research that powers change
ACE generates knowledge and develops solutions that advance society’s electrification while strengthening education and skills for the shift.
How ACE drives research
● Initiate projects – identifying needs and launching research projects where new knowledge and solutions can accelerate the electrification of society.
● Attract expertise – bringing research talent and expertise to northern Sweden to strengthen regional skills, leadership, and future development.
● Share knowledge – actively disseminating research results so they benefit industry, policy, and society.
Strategic research focus areas
ACE guides its research through three strategic agendas:
● eMobility – electrifying all forms of transport for goods and people.
● Connected Cities – smart buildings and their integration with the energy system.
● Circular Industries – electrifying industrial processes and supporting energy self-sufficiency.
Each program is led by a program manager, guiding ACE in choosing and prioritizing research initiatives that advance the electrification of society.
