ACE leverages the region’s renewable resources, industrial expertise, and test facilities – including its sandbox platform – to drive innovation and create practical impact. ACE Sandbox is a joint physical and digital space where researchers, companies, and educators can test and demonstrate next‑generation energy solutions in real‑world to drive innovation and create practical impact.

The core partners – Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå Kraft, and Skellefteå Municipality – combine academic excellence with industrial and municipal leadership to turn knowledge into action and support the shift toward a sustainable society.
